From each of them she has acquired cutting-edge techniques and methodologies from decades of experience in the field of hair loss surgery.

Since 2015, she has been engaged on behalf of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome for an international collaboration with Dr. John P. Cole (USA).

The collaboration is aimed at developing a pioneering research project in the field of regenerative medicine (PRP, STEM CELLS) and its application for the treatment of alopecia. Dr. John P. Cole is one of the world-renowned surgeons who has made history in baldness surgery and particularly in the FUE technique.

His brilliant mind has made unique and invaluable contributions to the field of hair transplantation through the development of new and sophisticated techniques and the development of innovative high-precision instruments. In this regard, Dr. Cole founded a company (ColeInstruments®) to design and manufacture specific instruments for baldness surgery, using the exclusive collaboration of experienced engineers.

Dr. Chiara Insalaco owes so much to his teachings and has gained significant practical experience during her time in the United States. Within her Atlanta-based clinic, she acquired the CIT® (Cole Isolation Technique), which involves a minimally invasive method of follicular unit extraction with minimal extraction depth.

FUE performed with this extraction method ensures that the stem cells from the follicular units remain in the donor area and can regenerate through the use of extracellular matrices such as Acell®.

Dr. Chiara Insalaco has an active role within the S.I.T.R.I ( ITALIAN SOCIETY OF TRICOLOGY) and is part, with a few other Italian experts, of the “Public Register Of Trichologist Doctors” to which specialists who treat patients with scalp disorders belong.
