Dr. Resul Yaman was born in 1982 in Istanbul, Turkey, and graduated in medicine from the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine of the University of Istanbul in 2005.

Dr. Yaman’s FUE surgery is minimally invasive and very simple. Dr. Yaman uses a modified FUE micro device (punch), which varies in size between 0.7 and 0.9 millimeters, with a slow rotation motor.

Dr. Yaman personally performs all extractions and all incisions. His team, which on average has 5 years of experience, is dedicated to delicately fit the follicular units into the small incisions.

Sometimes, to be able to remove many follicular units is very time consuming, and this makes the follicular units remain outside of the body for a long time, which can cause damage.

The punch with micro motor can also can reach sufficient speed to damage the hair follicles.

The modification made by Dr. Yaman has two main objectives: first, using a low-speed micro motor prevents possible damage to the hair follicles due to the heating of the instrument and the tearing of the follicles. The second objective is to reduce the time that the hair follicles remain outside of the body.

For this reason the surgery begins by removing the first 1500 follicular units, and only after having implanted those, another 1500 units are then removed. This procedure is repeated 3 times and in this way it is possible to safely implant up to 4500 follicular units.

 

The follicular units are outside of the body between 15 to 45 minutes, which is also the ideal to maximum time in the transplant surgeries of vital organs.
