Dr. Kaan Pekiner 3256 graft FUE (di cui 1121 BHT da Barba) SECOND SURGERY

We present this case of an Italian patient returned for a second surgery to restore the crown area, after having treated the frontal area last March.

Considering the two surgeries, a total of 7857 grafts were used, of which 2010 were shaving grafts. So 5847 are the total grafts taken from nuchal donor.

DATA OF THE SECOND INTERVENTION:

PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS AND CARE FOLLOWED:
The patient, of Italian nationality, presented an initial baldness of norwood grade 6. After the first operation (March 2017) the crown area remained to be covered. The second operation took place on November 29, 30 and December 1, 2017.

SURGERY OBJECTIVES:
The patient underwent a crown reconstruction and a reinforcement of the first line of the right temple. To give density to the crown area and to safeguard the donor nuchal, grafts from the beard were also used.
The single grafts of the donor nuchal were used mainly for the first line of the hairline while those extracted from the beard exclusively for the crown area.

SURGERY DATA:
Extractions, incisions and grafts personally performed by Dr. Kaan using manual FUE technique.
Grafts extracted from the nuchal donor: 2135 (274 single, 839 double, 817 triple, 205 multiple)
Grafts extracted from the beard: 1121

4 MONTHS LATER

Update at 9.5 months. Very satisfied patient, now he wants to use the remaining donor areas (mainly nape and chest plus a bit of beard) to give a global refresh and perfect the result. The doctor explained him that the crown can still improve for a few months as regrowth and after a year for quality and density.
