Dr. Kaan Pekiner 4601 grafts FUE (of which 889 BHT from beard)
PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS AND TREATMENTS FOLLOWED:
The patient, of Italian nationality, presented with norwood grade 6 baldness. He did not follow any treatment before the surgery. The operation took place on March 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2017.
GOALS OF THE SURGERY:
The patient wanted to reconstruct the high hairline, front and mid area, leaving the vertex uncovered in this session. To give density to the mid area and to safeguard the donor nuchal, grafts from the beard were also used. Single grafts from the donor nuchal were used mainly for the front hairline while grafts extracted from the beard were used for the mid areas.
SURGERY DATA:
Extractions, incisions and grafts personally performed by Dr. Kaan using manual FUE technique.
Grafts extracted from the nuchal donor: 3712 (470 single, 1326 double, 1916 multiple)
Grafts extracted from the beard: 889
Total grafts 4601
Treated area: about 90 cm2
Graft density (grafts per cm2): between 50 and 55 in the hairline, scaled towards the rear
