This 37 year old Vancouver patient had started having baldness problems around the age of 25 but it wasn’t until he was around 30 that he decided to address the problem. After much research he decided to have a consultation with Dr. Wong. The doctor’s suggestion was to start taking Finasteride to stabilize the hair loss in the crown area and with the hope of improving the hairline at the same time. The patient took Finasteride for 2 years obtaining a discreet improvement but not totally satisfied. For this reason he decided to turn to Dr. Wong to reconstruct the hairline and parietals and give more density to the crown. The hairline was backward as well as the parietals as you can see from the pre-operative images. Dr. Wong reconstructed the hairline without changing its position and moved the parietals forward to frame the face. The patient preferred the FUE technique and using the WAW hybrid punch Dr.Wong and his team extracted 3014 grafts to treat hairline, parietals and crown. 319 singles, 1634 doubles and 1061 triples (average 2.24 hairs per graft)
Post-operative photos show the result at 1.5 years.
