HATTINGEN HAIR – 4316 FUT
First of all, a good weekend to everyone.
We want to present a case a little particular.
The goal of surgery was to achieve a reconstruction that would allow the achievement of maximum coverage and best possible density.
The achievement of this goal was hindered by some factors:
– The patient had suffered in the past from Lichen Planopilaris, which had caused him to lose his eyebrows, the fronto-parietal area and the first frontal third.
For those who do not know Lichen Planorpilaris an informative thread in Italian: www.sitri.it/lichen_planus/lichen.html
– High contrast between skin and hair color
– Below average number of hairs per follicular unit (1.72 hairs per graft)
– Fine hair size
– The patient did not follow pharmacological treatments (and did not start any after the surgery)
In addition to the photographs we include a video at 15 months in which we highlight the result and also show the resulting scar.
We used 4316 follicular units to reconstruct the frontal area, the parietals and the eyebrows:
U.f single – 1474 = 1474 hairs
Double U.f – 2554 = 5108 hairs
Triple U.f = 285 = 855 hairs
————————————————
4316 U.f = 7437 hairs (1.72 hairs per u.f)
