Dr. Hasson – 3052 U.F (repair)
This patient is a member of Bellicapelli and many of you will have seen him 5 months ago at the Rome consultations and at 15 months when the photos below were taken.
The patient was 24 at the time of surgery and had started losing his hair when he was very young. In an attempt to regain a youthful appearance, he had attempted to graft artificial hair. As shown in various cases in the past this solution is not a good option in the long term since the body identifies artificial hair as foreign bodies and this causes inflammation and sometimes severe infections in the grafting area.
You may notice some skin irritations resulting from previously removed artificial hair.
Once artificial hair is removed it is necessary to give the skin time to heal and it has been shown that transplantation in those areas is extremely effective. Fortunately the patient had a good donor area. Dr.Hasson, as is often the case with patients with this degree of baldness, began by rebuilding a new hairline and the entire frontal area trying to go as far back as possible towards the crown. The priority was obviously the front and top.
Follicular units were not placed in the crown, the patient was advised to take Proscar. The result is about 15 months and I also insert a photo taken in Rome when the patient was 5 months post-operative.
